Phil Nibbelink (born June 3, 1955) is an American animator and film director as well as comic book writer and illustrator known for his work on films as the Academy Award-winning Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the 1991 cult animated sequel An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.
Phil Nibbelink is a director and animator who worked on several Disney movies, such as The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective and Romeo & Juliet: Sealed with a Kiss. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA, in 1955 and has four children with his wife Margit Friesacher.

Phil Nibbelink (born June 3, 1955) is an animator who started out working for Disney during the 1980s, as a character animator on The Fox and the Hound, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He later left Disney to work with Steven Spielberg, co-directing An American Tail: Fievel Goes West and We're Back!
