Chantal Akerman (Bruxelas, 6 de junho de 1950 – Paris, 5 de outubro de 2015), foi uma diretora belga. Era também artista, atriz, roteirista, produtora e professora de cinema. Chantal Akerman was born on 6 June 1950 in Brussels, Belgium. She was a director and writer, known for The Meetings of Anna (1978), I, You, He, She (1974) and A Couch in New York (1996). She was married to Sonia Wieder-Atherton. She died on 5 October 2015 in Paris, France.
