Joseph Koo Kar-Fai MBE GBS (Chinese: 顧嘉煇; 25 February 1931 – 3 January 2023) was a Hong Kong composer. He used the pen name Moran (莫然) for Mandarin songs early in his career. According to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Koo was one of the most respected composers in Hong Kong.

4 de jan. de 2023 · One of Hong Kong’s most respected composers, Joseph Koo, has died at the age of 92. His death was confirmed by Canadian-Cantonese TV channel Fairchild TV on Wednesday. According to the outlet, Koo moved to Vancouver with his wife in 2018. Koo was best known for composing the theme tune for the RTHK drama series, “Below the Lion Rock”.
