Morton Stevens (January 30, 1929 – November 11, 1991) was an American film score composer. In 1965, he became director of music for CBS West Coast operations.
Morton Stevens (1929-1991) was a prolific and award-winning composer and conductor of music for network television, especially for "Hawaii Five-O". He also worked with Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli and Dean Martin.

Morton Stevens. Music Department: Hawaii Five-O. Mort Stevens got his start in the 1950s as Sammy Davis Jr.'s arranger and conductor. He then went into composing various scores for network television, as well as becoming music supervisor for CBS in the 1960s.
"Hawaii Five-O Theme" is an instrumental composed by Morton Stevens as the theme music for the CBS television series Hawaii Five-O, which aired from 1968 to 1980. It is considered by many to be one of the best television themes of all time.
