Horst Dassler (12 March 1936 – 9 April 1987): 215 was a German businessman. The son of Adolf "Adi" Dassler, founder of Adidas. Horst Dassler founded Arena, a swimwear company, and became chairman of Adidas, and at the time of his death it was the world's largest sporting goods manufacturer with affiliates in 40 nations.

She worked in the Dassler firm and supported Käthe by assisting with the children. There was certainly plenty to do since Adi and Käthe became parents to five children: Horst, the only son was born in 1936, followed by Inge (1938), Karin (1941), Brigitte (1946) and the youngest daughter, Sigrid (1953).
Horst Dassler’s sudden death in 1987, three years after his mother Käthe passed away, meant troubled waters for adidas. In 1989, adidas became a stock corporation and Adi Dassler's daughters sold their shares in 1990.
