The main performers were Nadzeya Ostapchuk and Vadim Devyatovskiy. The former, the reigning World champion in the women’s Shot Put released a 20.34m effort, while the latter the World silver medallist in the men’s Hammer Throw let his implement fly out to 82.94 m.
The trophy, as always, was marked by world class results in both Hammer Throw competitions courtesy of Vadim Devyatovskiy who won the men’s event with 81.70m and Volha Tsander, winner in the women’s with 74.75m.

Vadim Devyatovskiy, Belarus, athletics, tested positive for exogenous testosterone and was stripped of his silver medal in the men’s hammer throw event. The IOC also banned him for life from future Olympic Games and ordered the NOC of Belarus to return his diploma.
