Marcel Hirscher (born 2 March 1989) is an Austrian-Dutch former World Cup alpine ski racer. Hirscher made his World Cup debut in March 2007.

And the record eight-time overall World Cup champion is going to compete for the Netherlands — his mother’s country — instead of his native Austria.
The Austrian legend, who retired in 2019, plans to make a comeback next season wearing Dutch colours. He was born to an Austrian father and a Dutch mother and holds both nationalities.
