Bror Axel Folke Per Rogard (6 July 1899 – 11 June 1973) was a Swedish lawyer, chess official, player and arbiter. He was born in Stockholm, with the surname Rosengren, and qualified as a lawyer with that name.

The late Folke Rogard was born on the 6 th of July 1899 in Stockholm. A Swedish lawyer by profession, he became the 2 nd FIDE President in 1949 after having held the position of President of the Swedish Chess Federation and between 1947 and 1949, the office of Vice-President of FIDE.
One of the first events held under the umbrella of FIDE100 celebrations was the lecture about the former FIDE president Folke Rogard, which took place at the Rilton Cup 2023-24 at Scandic Continental on December 30.

Rogard, von Beruf Rechtsanwalt, war von 1947 bis 1964 Präsident des schwedischen Schachbundes. 1949 wurde er Präsident des Weltschachbundes FIDE und behielt dieses Amt bis 1970 bei. Außerdem war er seit 1951 Internationaler Schiedsrichter .
