Gerald Dempsey "Buster" Posey III (born March 27, 1987) is an American former professional baseball catcher. He spent his entire 12-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the San Francisco Giants, from 2009 until his retirement at the conclusion of the 2021 season. In September 2022, Posey joined the Giants' ownership group.
