Steven Stamkos (born February 7, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Stamkos was selected first overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Lightning.

Stamkos is Tampa Bay's all-time leader in goals and power-play goals. He was selected 1st overall in 2008 after winning gold at the U20 WJC. In 2012, he won his 2nd Rocket Richard and joined Alex Ovechkin as the only players to score 60 goals in a season since Mario Lemieux in 1996.
