John Edward Thompson "Jackie" Milburn (11 May 1924 – 9 October 1988) was a football player principally associated with Newcastle United and England, though he also spent four seasons at Linfield. He was also known as Wor Jackie (particularly in North East England, a Geordie dialectal).

Milburn também era conhecido como Wor Jackie e 'the first World Wor' ("Wor" no dialeto geordie significa "nosso") em referência a sua fama mundial.
Milburn's 200 peacetime strikes (he scored another 38 goals in wartime fixtures) made him a true local hero and even after ending his playing career in 1957 at the age of 33, his name was forever etched into United folklore.

A coalminer from Ashington, Milburn became Newcastle United’s record goalscorer with 200 goals, a record that stood until 2006. He was the star of Newcastle United’s great cup side of the 1950s. In 1951 he scored both goals as Newcastle beat Blackpool 2-0.
