Sierra Marjory Boggess (/ ˈ b ɒ ɡ ɪ s /; born May 20, 1982 [citation needed]) is an American theater actress and singer. She is best known for originating the role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid on Broadway , and for her multiple appearances as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera .
