Fred Andrew Stone (August 19, 1873 – March 6, 1959) was an American actor. Stone began his career as a performer in circuses and minstrel shows, went on to act in vaudeville, and became a star on Broadway and in feature films, which earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
For over 40 years, Fred Stone captured the beauty of the horse on canvas. Lauded as “the most famous painter of horses in the world”, his legacy as the premier painter of Thoroughbred horses lives on.

Stone was raised in Topeka, Kan., making his stage debut there at age 11, and soon joined his brother on tour with a number of small circuses.
