Gwen Dickey (born December 1, 1953) is an American musician best known as the lead singer of the R&B band Rose Royce, where she performed under the name Rose Norwalt. The group's most recognized songs include "Car Wash" and "Wishing on a Star".

Gwen Dickey was discovered by Norman Whitfield, one of Motowns leading agents, who gave her the stage name Rose Norwalt and hired her as the charismatic female singer of the band ‘Magic Wand’.
It was Joe Harris (from The Undisputed Truth ), who discovered a singer called Gwen Dickey during a tour date in Miami, who was singing with a group called The Jewels at that time. Gwen travelled to L.A. to audition for Norman, who in turn gave her the stage name of Rose Norwalt.
