Shulamit Lapid ( Hebrew: שולמית לפיד, born 9 November 1934) is an Israeli novelist and playwright . Biography. Shulamit Giladi (later Lapid) was born in Tel Aviv. She majored in Oriental studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Shulamit Lapid. LAPID, SHULAMIT (1934– ), Hebrew writer. Lapid was born in Tel Aviv. She majored in Oriental studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her first collection of stories, Dagim ("Fish"), was published in 1969. This was followed by collections of stories and poems as well as ten novels, plays, and books for young readers.
