The Dunbar single version was recorded in 1967 for the Blue Horizon label, [6] prior to his band's first album release The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation (1968 [7] ). Subsequently, Dunbar founded a short-lived progressive rock band called Blue Whale, which debuted with a tour of Scandinavia in January 1970. [1]

26 de out. de 2018 · I'm not kidding, SATURN BLUES is a hell of a rock album. Its production remembers me of hard rock, but you can still listen to the blues in all the songs! It is a power trio kicking, and Spinner plays very well and also sings.
Liverpool drummer Aynsley Dunbar had been working with Merseybeat hitmakers The Mojos (their "Everything's Alright" reached no.9 in 1964) in their later incarnation as "Stu James & The Mojos," and recorded two singles with them before the group disbanded in 1966.
Bio. NEW ALBUM. MUTINY. GET IT NOW! Aynsley was born on January 10, 1946, in Liverpool, England. Over his career, he has demonstrated the ability of playing many different styles including jazz, blues, fusion, rock and progressive rock.
His debut album, Doctor Dunbar’s Prescription was a confident set of electric blues that was full of snappy tunes and high energy riffing. Recorded in 1971, Blue Whale is considerably more experimental, though.
