A Life Within a Day is the only studio album by the musical project Squackett, featuring English musicians Chris Squire and Steve Hackett (ex-Genesis). It was released on 28 May 2012, although it had been written and recorded a few years earlier.

Squackett is the second "supergroup" of the year to feature reknowned and virtuosic progressive rock musicians coming together to make a poppier kind of progressive rock (the first being Flying Colors), and though it may not be the progressive masterpiece some were hoping for, the album definitely works.

1 de jun. de 2022 · In recent years Squire has guested on Hackett’s solo albums, contributing his distinctive bass guitar to tracks on 2009’s Out Of The Tunnel’s Mouth and last year’s Beyond The Shrouded Horizon. But a full-blown collaboration between the Genesis and Yes legends has taken longer to come to fruition.
