Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock were an American hip hop duo from Harlem, New York City. Rob Base is the stage name of Robert Ginyard (b. May 18, 1967) [1] and DJ E-Z Rock was Rodney "Skip" Bryce (1967–2014). They are best known for the 1988 single "It Takes Two", a "hip-hop staple" [2] that was a top 40 hit and has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
In 1989, Rob Base dropped a solo release album “The Incredible Base”, which went Gold and included a number of hits such as Turn It Out (Go Base), which reached #4 and Get Up and Have A Good Time.

6 de fev. de 2022 · Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock broke up in 1989 to pursue solo careers. They did, however, remain friends. During the break, DJ E-Z Rock’s debut solo album Turn It Out (Go Base) (1989) was released. The duo reunited on the 1994 album Break of Dawn.
The Incredible Base is the only solo studio album by American rapper Rob Base. It was released on November 21, 1989, via Profile Records. Recording sessions took place at Hillside Sound Studio in Englewood, New Jersey. Production was handled by William Hamilton, Rob Base and David Wynn.
