Nat Keohane is the president of C2ES, a leading voice for market-based policies to reduce climate pollution. He has worked on international and domestic climate issues, including Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, tropical forest carbon and aviation emissions.

He has worked as a faculty member, a White House official, and a senior vice president at Environmental Defense Fund.
Keohane, who serves as president of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) and previously served in the Obama Administration as Special Assistant to the President for Energy and Environment, told Stavins that he believes the global stocktake will play a prominent role in the COP 28 negotiations in Dubai beginning later this week.
