Hafdis Huld returns this spring with her first original album in four years and her third solo album of original songs, “Home.” Appropriately titled, the entrancing new album was written and recorded entirely in her picturesque wooden house located in the Icelandic mountains near Reykjavik.
Hafdís Huld Þrastardóttir (Icelandic: [ˈhavti:s ˈhʏlt ˈθrastartouhtɪr]; born 22 May 1979), known simply as Hafdís Huld, is an Icelandic singer and actress. She began her musical career as a member of the electronic band GusGus in 1995 and left the group in 1999.
15 de set. de 2014 · Hafdís’s solo album `Home’ is a simple collection of original folk songs and lullaby-like tunes arranged and orchestrated by the singer’s partner, Alisdair Wright. The warmer, more densely arranged tracks on the album are the most effective and, with a reverberant piano, guitars and percussion, all very radio-friendly.
