  6. James M. Scobbie is Professor of Speech Science at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh and associate editor of Laboratory Phonology. His research addresses phenomena where phonology and phonetics overlap, using a mixture of method-ologies, with a focus on articulatory phonetic data and cross-dialectal comparisons.
