Southwest High School was a comprehensive high school located at 6512 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri. It was part of the Kansas City, Missouri School District. The school is in the Brookside neighborhood, two blocks south of Border Star Montessori.
18 de dez. de 2018 · For decades, Southwest High School was revered as one of the city’s most distinguished public schools. That began to change amid racial tensions during the civil rights movement. In addition to sudden closures of Southwest, the school has faced scandal and a revolving door of principals throughout its history.
Physical copies of elementary, middle & junior high schools, college & trade school yearbooks can be viewed by visiting the Missouri Valley Room on the 5th floor of the Central Library. A list of all available yearbook volumes can be viewed here.
