Samuel Tertius Galton (23 March 1783 – 23 October 1844) was a British businessman and scientist. Life. He was the son of Samuel "John" Galton, a prominent member of the scientific Lunar Society, and the father of Francis Galton the eminent Victorian scientist. He was born in the area of Duddeston in Birmingham.

Samuel Tertius Galton was a businessman and scientist. Samuel Tertius Galton son of John Galton and his wife, Lucy Barclay, was born on 23rd March 1783 at Stagley Row, Edgbaston, in Warwickshire. He was educated at Reading School and Trinity College Cambridge.
