200 Balloons was released as the b-side on the single Batdance, the first single from Prince’s album Batman, the companion album to the hit movie Batman. In 1993, it was included as the second track on The B-Sides compilation (included as the third and final disc on The Hits / The B-Sides).

6 de nov. de 2017 · Prince originally created the track "200 Balloons" for Tim Burton to use during Batman 's parade scene, in which the Joker ( Jack Nicholson) rains money down on the residents of Gotham, only to pour gasoline on them via balloons. However, Burton rejected the song, and wound up using "Trust" instead.
Batdance single. Batdance video. This song uses the LinnDrum, the successor of the Linn LM-1 usually utilized by Prince, at least for the clap sound. The phrase "get your house in order" appears as a sample in 200 Balloons, possibly sung by Mavis Staples, and reduced to "house" on Batdance.
