Between 1790 and 1802, Earl Beaulieu also held the title Lord of Bowland, a lordship he inherited on the death of his father-in-law. He was also a champion of the historic vehicle movement and founder of the National Motor Museum. He played a major role in the preservation of England’s historic houses and the development of the UK tourism industry.
Edward Hussey-Montagu, 1st Earl Beaulieu, KB (1721 – 25 November 1802) was a British peer and politician. Born Edward Hussey, he was the son of Irish parents, James Hussey and Catherine née Parsons (a daughter of Richard Parsons, 1st Viscount Rosse).
