Albert VI, Duke of Mecklenburg (German: Albrecht VI., Herzog zu Mecklenburg; 1438 – before 27 April 1483) was a Duke of Mecklenburg. Albert was the son of Henry IV, Duke of Mecklenburg, and Dorothea of Brandenburg, the daughter of the Elector Frederick I of Brandenburg.
Reign. In 1363, members of the Swedish Council of Aristocracy, led by Bo Jonsson Grip, arrived at the court of Mecklenburg. They had been banished from Sweden after a revolt against King Magnus IV, Albert's uncle who was unpopular with the nobility.
Duke John Albert of Mecklenburg (German: Herzog Johann Albrecht zu Mecklenburg; given names John Albert Ernest Constantine Frederick Henry; 8 December 1857 – 16 February 1920) was a member of the House of Mecklenburg-Schwerin who served as the regent of two states of the German Empire.
The rulers of Mecklenburg were styled Duke of (from 1815 Grand Duke of) Mecklenburg, Prince of the Wends, Schwerin and Ratzeburg, and Count of Schwerin, Lord of the Lands of Rostock and Stargard ( Herzog zu / Großherzog von Mecklenburg, Fürst zu Wenden, Schwerin und Ratzeburg, auch Graf zu Schwerin, der Lande Rostock und Stargard Herr ). Ruled the reunited Duchy from 1471. Magnus II (1441-1503) Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Güstrow. Magnus II, Albert VIII and Balthasar, as sons of Henry VII, ruled jointly. Balthasar was also Bishop of Schwerin in 1479-1482, and ruled with his nephews Albert IX and Henry VIII from 1503.
Albert of Mecklenburg. Albrekt of Mecklenburg (1338-1412) was the King of Sweden from 1364 till 1389. When he came to Sweden, he was eagerly awaited by the nobility, who had sent for him. But later, when he was forced to leave the country , he was both defeated and hated and named "the wolf from Mecklenburg". No-one was indifferent to Albrekt.
