English (initially) R&B and Beat band from London, formed in 1963. The Pretty Things disbanded in late 2018. In September 2020, less than half a year after Phil May's death, the band released a final acoustic album featuring recordings from 2019. Pretty Things were an English rock band formed in September 1963 in Sidcup, Kent, taking their name from Bo Diddley's 1955 song "Pretty Thing", and active in their first incarnation until 1971.

As the 60s and 70s progressed, they delivered a string of classic albums – most notably 1968’s landmark concept album SF Sorrow - without ever getting the massive breakthrough the deserved.
