Elias II, Count of Maine. Elias II (also Helias, Hélie, Helyes or Élie) (died 15 January 1151) was the younger son of Fulk V of Anjou and his first wife, Eremburga, daughter of Count Elias I of Maine. [1] There is debate as to whether he was ever count of Maine or whether he merely made a claim to it.

5 de out. de 2019 · On Elias’s death in 1110 the Count of Anjou became the Count of Maine. Henry I (pictured at the start of this post) who had succeeded his brother William as King of England in 1100 and taken Normandy from his brother Robert in 1106 agreed to recognise Fulk of Anjou’s claim to Maine so long as Fulk recognised the Duke of Normandy as his overlord.
Elias I (also Hélie or Élie) (died 11 July 1110), called de la Flèche or de Baugency, was the Count of Maine, succeeding his cousin Hugh V, Count of Maine. He was the son of Jean de la Flèche and Paula, daughter of Herbert I, Count of Maine .
