Amii's debut on the RTI label is a superb modern soul album, relying on both uptempo funk tunes and ballads, produced by Davide Romani of Change. She returned to work with Narada Michael Walden on the opening track (and first single) "Don't Be So Shy", and Climie Fisher submitted the track "There Has Got to Be a Way".
