Young Lions is the fifth solo album by Adrian Belew released in May 1990 by Atlantic Records. The album featured David Bowie singing on two tracks, "Pretty Pink Rose" and "Gunman", the latter of which Bowie and Belew co-wrote since he was acting as musical director and lead guitarist on the Sound+Vision Tour with Bowie. His songs from this era include "Suffragette City", [17] "The Jean Genie", [18] "Rebel Rebel" and "All the Young Dudes" (made famous by Mott the Hoople [19] ), the last two of which are regarded as glam anthems. [20] [21] Young Americans (1975) showcased Bowie's interest in soul and R&B music, as well as funk ("Fame").

22 de mai. de 2023 · Written by David Bowie, ‘Pretty Pink Rose’ was recorded with Adrian Belew for the latter’s Young Lions album. Bowie had demoed the song in Los Angeles in early 1988.
