Maredudd ab Owain Glyndŵr. Maredudd ab Owain Glyndŵr was a son of Margaret Hanmer and Owain Glyndŵr. He was the last significant active participant in the revolt raised by Glyndŵr in Wales between 1400 and about 1416.
Maredudd ab Owain (died c. 999) was a 10th-century king in Wales of the High Middle Ages. A member of the House of Dinefwr, his patrimony was the kingdom of Deheubarth comprising the southern realms of Dyfed, Ceredigion, and Brycheiniog.

The Glyndŵr rebellion was a Welsh rebellion led by Owain Glyndŵr against the Kingdom of England during the Late Middle Ages. During the rebellion's height between 1403 and 1406, Owain exercised control over the majority of Wales after capturing several of the most powerful English castles in the country, and formed a parliament at Machynlleth.
He had no close ties of blood with Gwynedd, though remoter links through marriage gave him descent from Owain Gwynedd and Gruffudd ap Cynan; and after the death of Owain ap Thomas ap Rhodri in 1378, few remained with a better claim than his to the heritage of the Llywelyns.
We suggest that Elen was the mother of Owain Glyndwr and married to the c. 1325 Gruffudd Fychan, while Alis was the mother of a daughter, Lleuci, by the Gruffudd Fychan of c. 1350.
MAREDUDD ab OWAIN ap HYWEL DDA (died 999), king of Deheubarth. He succeeded his aged father as sole ruler of Deheubarth in 986, and in the same year repeated the achievement of his grandfather by reuniting Gwynedd and Deheubarth for the period of his reign.
