Walter Henry Montagu Douglas Scott, Earl of Dalkeith (17 January 1861 – 18 September 1886), styled Lord Eskdaill until 1884, was a Scottish nobleman and first-class cricketer . Biography. The son of the nobleman and politician William Montagu Douglas Scott and his wife, Louisa Montagu Douglas Scott, he was born at Westminster in January 1861.

Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch, 7th Duke of Queensberry, KG, KT, PC, FRS, FRSE (25 November 1806 – 16 April 1884), styled Lord Eskdail between 1808 and 1812 and Earl of Dalkeith between 1812 and 1819, was a prominent Scottish nobleman, landowner and politician.
William Montagu Douglas Scott, The Earl of Dalkeith, who became the 7th Duke of Buccleuch was elected President of St. Andrew's Ambulance Association in 1908. The Presidency of the Association (now St Andrew's First Aid) has been held by the Buccleuch family from that date.

He acquired Abington (Lanarkshire) and other property of James, Earl of Douglas, who was attainted in 1455. His descendant Sir Walter Scott (d. 1611, created Baron Scott in 1606) received Liddesdale (Roxburghshire) and other forfeited estates of the 5th Earl of Bothwell in 1594.
