Dready is a character and a style of art created by West Indian (Jamaican born) artist Shane Aquart. The art began by focusing on a humorous Caribbean character called Dready but grew over time to become a style of its own in which the artist himself is ″Dready″.

Dready has its roots in music, especially reggae. Dready was a musician as well as an artist. At Glastonbury, Dready would have pride of place, flying the flag bang next to the reggae tent. Back then before the shops, we would sell at music festivals across the UK and Europe.
