14 de set. de 2009 · Joanna de Kilpeck de Bohun, Countess of Hereford, was not my ancestor. She’s the ancestor of no one, having died without issue. But she has a beautiful tomb effigy in the Lady Chapel at Hereford Cathedral, so I have decided to resurrect her in 2009.
18 de jul. de 2011 · The tomb of Joanna Bohun (d1337), in the Lady Chapel of Hereford cathedral, is one of only two 14th cenury tombs of women in Hereford where the name of the person represented is known. She died childless and in the last year of her life gave 1 acre of land and the advowson of the church of Lugwardine to the cathedral.

Leonor era filha de Humberto de Bohun, 7.º Conde de Hereford e de Joana Fitzalan. Seus avós paternos eram Guilherme de Bohun, 1.º Conde de Northampton e Isabel de Badlesmere, que antes de ser esposa de Guilherme, havia sido casada com Sir Edmundo Mortimer, filho de Rogério Mortimer, 1.º Conde de March.
Família. Maria era a mais nova das três filhas de Humberto de Bohun, conde de Hereford e Northampton (1341–1373) e de Joana Fitzalan (1347/8–1419). [ 1] Seu pai era bisneto do rei Eduardo I da Inglaterra por parte paterna. A mãe de Maria, Joana FitzAlan era tataraneta do rei Henrique III da Inglaterra por parte da sua mãe, Leonor de Lencastre .
