Dave Pegg (born 2 November 1947) is an English multi-instrumentalist and record producer, primarily a bass guitarist. He is the longest-serving member of the British folk rock band Fairport Convention and has been bassist with a number of folk and rock groups including the Ian Campbell Folk Group and Jethro Tull .

"The Test Of Time" is a first retrospective of recordings spanning the 30 year career of Steve Ashley, and delivers 17 of his finest songs. Featured musicians include some of folk rock's finest: Dave Mattacks, Simon Nichol, Dave Pegg, Barry Dransfield and Linda Thompson.
Mostly known as a bassist for his playing on so many folk-rock releases, and in the legendary Fairport Convention and Jethro Tull, Dave Pegg is also a record producer and founder of Woodworm Records and of the Woodworm Studios.
