Russian State Institute of Performing Arts is a public theatre school in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was founded in 1779 as the Emperor’s Theatre, the oldest theatre school in Russia. The institution has merged with several schools over the years, including the Ostrovsky Leningrad Theatre Institute and the Leningrad Institute of Art History.
