Princess Kira Auguste Viktoria Friederike of Prussia (27 June 1943 – 10 January 2004) was the fourth child and second daughter of Louis Ferdinand, Prince of Prussia and Grand Duchess Kira Kirillovna of Russia. Princess Kira was born in Cadienen, East Prussia (today Kadyny, Poland).

The foundation was established by Kira Auguste Princess of Prussia, a passionate art and music lover, in 2004. It funds and organizes projects for artists and musicians in Europe, such as exhibitions, performances, recordings, publications and residencies.
A FOUNDATION WITH A LONG TRADITION OF HELPING DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN. Since the 1950s, the Princess Kira of Prussia Foundation has committed itself to helping disadvantaged children and young people in Germany and around the world.
The Princess Kira of Prussia Foundation sponsors a free holiday retreat at Hohenzollern Castle for children and young people, which includes a music education programme. Over 14,000 children and young people have stayed at our castle since the foundation began its work.
Maria Kirillovna of Russia (2 February 1907 – 25 October 1951) was the eldest daughter of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich of Russia and Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh. She was born in Coburg when her parents were in exile because their marriage had not been approved by Tsar Nicholas II .
