Arthur was married on 12 November 1511, to Elizabeth Grey (d. 1529), daughter of Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Lisle (d. 1492).

  6. 3 de mar. de 2020 · In 1523, Henry VIII awarded his uncle Arthur the title and rights of 1st Viscount Lisle by virtue of Arthur’s marriage to Elizabeth. He lost the title when Elizabeth died a couple years later. Arthur next married Honor Grenville in 1529.

  7. On the return voyage he was again in danger of shipwreck. On 24 March 1538 Lisle was nominated successor to John Bourchier, second baron Berners, as deputy of Calais. Before going to Calais he acted as 'chief panter' at the banquet which celebrated the coronation of Queen Anne Boleyn.
