Charles Sloane Cadogan, 1st Earl Cadogan (29 September 1728 – 3 April 1807) was a British peer and Whig politician.
Lady Sarah Cadogan, daughter of the first Earl of the first creation, married Charles Lennox, 2nd Duke of Richmond, and was the mother of the famous Lennox sisters (and also the grandmother of Charles James Fox).

Charles Gerald John Cadogan, 8th Earl Cadogan, KBE, DL (24 March 1937 – 11 June 2023), styled as Viscount Chelsea until 1997, was a British billionaire peer and landowner.
Eldest son of Charles ‘Sloane’ Cadogan, Charles junior famously undertook a Grand Tour of Europe, but unfortunately inherited his mother’s illness (psychosis). The Earldom passed to him on his father’s death in 1807, however he was too ill to run the Estate so it was looked after by Trustees.
