  4. Giuseppe Borgatti. Borgatti was a poor and reportedly even illiterate bricklayer when his voice was discovered by pure chance. A local aristocrat payed for his studies, and already in 1892, he could make his debut as Gounod's Faust in Castelfranco Veneto.

  7. Biografia. Nasce a Cento il 17 marzo 1871. Grazie all'aiuto del marchese Plattis, suocero della scrittrice Maria Majocchi in arte Jolanda, (1864-1917), studiò al Liceo Musicale di Bologna ed esordì in Faust a Castelfranco Veneto nel 1892.
