Robert Rich (born August 23, 1963) is an ambient musician and composer based in California, United States. With a discography spanning over 30 years, he has been called a figure whose sound has greatly influenced today's ambient music, New-age music , and even IDM .
Robert Rich has been around influencing music (especially ambient and electronica music) and releasing many albums since 1982. He is a multi-instrumentalist and builds his own acoustic and electronic instruments, but most of his music consists of ambient instrumental music and the utilization of microtones.
