14 de ago. de 2019 · Gandalf. In J.R.R. Tolkien 's epic fantasy “ The Lord of the Rings ”, Gandalf is undoubtedly one of the most loved characters of all time. As a powerful wizard and a mystical being, he has a warm, loyal, and authoritative figure. He was sent to Middle earth during the third age to combat the threat of Sauron.

Though Gandalf did know Bilbo as a very young hobbit, but Bilbo did not remember Gandalf from other than stories form his grand parents' time.

Furthermore, Saruman forfeited his rights as White Wizard the moment he embraced the dark powers of Sauron. Gandalf the White bore an everyday staff, white in appearance, and of ash wood constitution.
