19 de mar. de 2024 · I have Fences 4 and generally like to keep updated, but I'm having a problem finding any information about teh differences between 4 & 5. I know 5 takes us into the subscription model (by default), but I would really like to see what comes with that (other than higher cost).
19 de ago. de 2024 · Fences prior to update were neatly spaced per Fence dimensions. A Layout Snapshot was taken before upgrading to 5.81. Please note: The Fences are a little hard to see as they are rolled up and the opacity is low. But the Fence names are visible on image enlargement. This has been happening since the Per Monitor addition to layouts.
6 de ago. de 2024 · Major Update: All users are now being migrated to the new multi-mon compatible auto layout adjustment system introduced in Fences v5.50. Unlike the previous options, this new system will keep track of your group positions on a per-monitor-configuration basis so that when you plug and unplug monitors/dock and undock, your groups and icons will be right where you left them.

15 de nov. de 2023 · No. The upgrade process on the Fences 5 store page, where you supply your email and it checks to see that you have a prior version of Fences, only applies to the discounts offered for Fences - it does not take into account how many activations you had on any prior version of Fence. 24 de out. de 2021 · Fences 4 have better support for more recent Windows 10/11 versions. As for better support for 3 screens vs Fences 3, I am sure it does, but, it is best for me to forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates.

22 de mai. de 2024 · That said, with Fences 5.53, we believe it addresses most monitor scenarios with a new monitor option: 'Store my layouts on a per-monitor-configuration basis'. Note: This option will be enabled by default for new installs ONLY. Anyone installing 5.53 over a prior version of Fences 5 will need to enable it manually.
29 de jul. de 2024 · After downloading Fences 5.80, when scrolling through icons, they still move 1 1/2 lines rather than one line at a time. No other applications show this behavior. Windows Ver 23H2, Build 22631.3810 using a Logitech G502 Hero Mouse. Restarting Explorer or rebooting computer have no effect on the issue.
