12 de jan. de 2009 · Yes, it all started back around 2009 when a couple of IM collectors, who you probably know, got in touch with me about the Gibraltar tapes and also how to track Dennis down, he had disappeared from the scene for years. A lot of effort went into finding him and also supporting him on his return.

3 de mai. de 2017 · In March 2017, I interviewed V1 Vocalist Dennis Willcock, who is also known as a former vocalist for the legendary Iron Maiden. Willcock was with the band from 1976-1978 and much controversy has been told about his time with the band. He often feels his work is not well documented and hopes that his side of the story can be better told.

They then played The Green Man on 06/04/1978 - This may have been the gig that Dennis never turned up for and it is possible that Steve sang songs on this night.
1 de fev. de 2024 · He met Ron Rebel in the studios where he was rehearsing with Dennis Wilcock and others while trying to form Maiden. Then he placed an ad that was answered by Terry Rance. Rance invited Dave Sullivan. Paul Day basically bumped into Harris before and when Steve was looking for a singer he invited Day to join.

6 de ago. de 2004 · But the inteviewer think he talks about Dennis Stratton, so he says that Dave has, sort of, replaced Dennis. So Steve smiles, and says that's "a litlle bit like that", to close the discussion : it's too long to explain to this guy that he never heard about Dennis Wilcock and don't know anything about Maiden history : Dennis Stratton joins Maiden later than Dave : so he couldn't discover him !
2 de nov. de 2013 · Invader. Nov 2, 2013. #1. Dave was fired from Maiden around July 1977 after he had a bust up with Dennis Wilcock. He went on to audition for the band The Secret. The lead singer was called Mickey Modern and the bassist was called Benny Leopard (These were there stage names). Another guitarist called Chris Banks auditioned at this time.
