Ada Lovelace, born Augusta Ada Byron on December 10, 1815, was the only legitimate child of the renowned poet Lord Byron and his wife, Anne Isabella Milbanke. Her parents’ marriage was short-lived, with Lord Byron leaving England when Ada was just a few months old.
