8 de jun. de 2024 · Rhinophyma is a severe form of rosacea, which is an independent disease of the skin of the nose. It is caused by hypertrophy of sebaceous glands and soft tissue. Rhinophyma leads to an enlarged, nodular, hypervascular, and erythematous bulbous nose that is bothersome and disfiguring to patients. Possibly, it may obstruct the external nasal valve.
