I've watched and loved Death Note for so many years and I still think it's excellent - especially in areas that the manga can't replicate such as the soundtrack, animations etc., but I have also been part of the anime 'majority' who didn't LOVE part 2 and thought it felt a bit underwhelming after L's death and I thought Near was just a cheap copy of L.
