I raised a PIR report at the airport and after 21 days the baggage was determined as lost, and I raised a claim against BA for the lost baggage on day 22. If I was in a HUGE airport and the restaurant i really wanted was before the baggage claim by quite some distance, I just might if I was alone, but if I had kids or someone in better shape than me that would go fetch the luggage, I would do that first.
