Há 3 dias · Ranville War Cemetery and Ranville Churchyard are interesting D-Day sites to visit. They hold some of the earliest casualties of D-Day. A purpose-built Commonwealth War Graves war cemetery, Ranville War Cemetery holds over 2,300 Commonwealth burials and over 300 German war graves.

This 31.5-acre (12.7 ha) site opened in 1868, and no longer accepts new burials. There is a section for the burial of Baháʼí adherents and an area for children.
Há 3 dias · MAJOR OWEN HENRY OWENS - MY GRANDFATHER. Owen Henry Owens was a career soldier who enlisted in the Royal Welch Fusiliers on 14 April 1930, aged 19. He was required to report to the Regimental Barracks at Caernarfon on 17 April 1930 for Attestation in the rank of Fusilier, Army Number 4189250 and then moved to the main Regimental Depot in Wrexham.
