Tom Tykwer (German:; born 23 May 1965) is a German film director, producer, screenwriter, and composer. He is best known internationally for directing the thriller films Run Lola Run (1998), Heaven (2002), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006), and The International (2009).

Tom Tykwer (geboren am 23.05.1965) ist ein deutscher Filmregisseur, Drehbuchautor, Komponist und Produzent. 1985 zog er von seiner Heimatstadt Wuppertal nach Berlin, studierte Philosophie, jobbte als Filmvorführer und übernahm 1988 die Programmgestaltung des Berliner „Moviemento“ Kinos.
